The experience of a maternity portrait session
Have you ever wondered what it looks like and how it feels to do a maternity and pregnancy portrait session in our Aix-en-Provence & Manhattan photography studios?
Maternity sessions are incredible and I truly adore photographing expecting moms! During our time together, my goal is to show you how incredibly beautiful you look and how incredible the miracle of life is.
Here are the steps to creating stunning maternity portraits:
1) Consultation & Classic Client Closet
Before our session together, I discuss with my clients what they have in mind for their session and the types of images that they are drawn to. This can be discussed over the phone or in person in our Aix-en-Provence portrait studio. Most moms love to come in person as it is a perfect opportunity to also see my Classic Client Closet, a collection of beautiful dresses, and to try on your favorite ones for the session day.
2) Hair and makeup
Hair and makeup is complimentary for all my maternity sessions. Feel beautiful and pampered while my talented HMU artist enhances your beautiful features and makes you feel gorgeous and relaxed.
3) Session
Your session is designed according to the desires discussed during our consultation. I will guide you on posing and make you feel beautiful and confident. You will be photographed from the most flattering angles while keeping the focus on your baby bump. You can change your outfits as many times as you want and take breaks as needed. My photography sessions are never rushed and we can take all the time you need.
4) Editing
After our session, the culling and editing process takes place. The most gorgeous portraits of your maternity session will be selected and edited into a work of art.
5) Ordering appointment
When your final portraits are ready, we will meet again in the studio or on Zoom. You will select your favorite images (or all) and we will design the perfect artwork for your home. Sample albums, frames and fine art prints are available to help you visualize the final product we can create together.
